Senior Network Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure management, design, and implementation.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Providing 24/7 operations support for network systems, including scheduled on-call duties.
  • Managing vendors for procurement, RFQ/RFP writing, project management, and problem resolution.
  • Maintaining documentation, including technical specifications, operations manuals, and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in network infrastructure management, design, and implementation.
  • Excellent understanding of common network technologies, including TCP/IP, IPsec, VRRP, HSRP, SNMP, NAT, Multicast, Sub-netting, Ethernet, Access-lists.
  • In-depth working knowledge of routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS.
  • Familiarity with network security devices, such as firewalls, WAN optimizers, virtual private networks, and authentication servers.
  • Proven knowledge of DNS, time synchronization, proxy services, F5 Load Balancers, and Infoblox.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
