Job Overview

The role of an Accounts Associate involves providing administrative support to the financial department in managing the company's financial operations. This includes assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial statements, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities
  • Data entry of supplier and other invoices into XERO accounting software ensuring timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing.
  • Manage HRMS updating employee data as necessary.
  • Provide monthly updates on Cost of Goods at company outlets.
  • Supply monthly sales data from POS to landlords.
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Offer administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as an Accounts Assistant preferred.
  • Proficient in XERO and MS Office applications especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with FnB industry and related processes beneficial.
