The Rehabilitation Specialist is dedicated to delivering exceptional therapeutic interventions aimed at empowering individuals with special needs to achieve their fullest potential. This role involves equipping educators and caregivers with effective strategies to support the developmental journey of each student.
As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the practitioner will oversee the provision of high-quality therapeutic services across various environments at Rainbow Centre, including early intervention programs, educational institutions, after-school care, and community outreach initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Delivering superior clinical services to clients through:
Employing suitable assessment methodologies to gather information that identifies therapeutic requirements across diverse cases. Developing outcome-oriented care plans that align with the specific objectives established for clients, encompassing planning, executing, assessing, and managing interventions. Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based psychological techniques, and engaging in collaborative case management to ensure effective service delivery. Completing specialized reports, case documentation, and other necessary paperwork in accordance with professional standards and organizational protocols. Prioritizing and managing a caseload under supervision, adhering to organizational policies while ensuring comprehensive documentation of all clinical activities. Contributing to the formulation of protocols and clinical guidelines aimed at enhancing service quality in collaboration with the Lead Allied Professional/Principal Therapist.Supporting Strategic Initiatives:
Maintaining and overseeing client records related to service usage, in compliance with organizational and professional standards, as well as managing inventories of necessary equipment and supplies. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, guaranteeing that all equipment is securely stored and maintained for safe operation. Engaging in the development, monitoring, and assessment of outcome measures relevant to the service area.Professional Development:
Actively participating in reflective practice and evaluation, including critically assessing the influence of contemporary issues affecting the profession and sector. Staying informed and compliant with all pertinent legislation, organizational policies, and professional codes of conduct to maintain the highest standards of practice.Qualifications:
A minimum of a Degree in Physiotherapy and eligibility for registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Previous experience in a special education environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and foster interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring a client-centered approach to service delivery. Capability to manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting clients and equipment.-
