Senior Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Scientist to join our team in Northern Nova Scotia. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a vital role in reviewing and signing off on technical reports, directing field staff, and liaising with clients on a file-by-file basis.
">You will be responsible for conducting hydrogeological and environmental site investigations, overseeing remediation activities, and collaborating with project managers nationwide. Your role will involve working with the Director and management to develop and enhance our strategic plan, translating it into a vision for implementation.
">You will lead and support change initiatives, mentor and challenge staff, and maintain strong client relationships. Business development tasks will include creating and implementing strategic account penetration plans, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing customer relationships effectively.
">To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent. You should have 5-8 years of related operational experience, with 3+ years of experience in the Insurance industry being desirable.
">A valid driver's license is necessary, along with excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You must be able to provide accurate information and creative solutions to customers, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high standards of integrity.
">Your enthusiasm, positivity, and collaborative approach will contribute to team success. This position may involve travel within the assigned region and flexibility in work schedules.
