We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our team and contribute to the development of modern machine learning methods for the analysis of large-scale astronomical datasets.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including stellar variability, exoplanets, transient phenomena, and the discovery of new astrophysical events. About the Role

This postdoctoral research position is available in the Department of Physics at the National University of Singapore. We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in physics, data science, computer science, astronomy, or a related quantitative discipline.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience conducting independent research involving the analysis of large datasets, and a publication record demonstrating relevant skills in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, computer science, or a related field.

A strong analytical and computational background, proficiency in Python and data analysis frameworks, and good written and oral scientific communication skills are essential for this role.

Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Astronomy, Astrophysics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong analytical and computational skills in data science, statistical analysis, or machine learning.
  • Proficiency with Python and data analysis frameworks.
  • Familiarity with large, complex datasets and modern computational techniques.
  • Good written and oral scientific communication skills.
