We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Therapist to join our team at KIDS INTERVENTION SPECIALISTS (BUKIT TIMAH) PTE. LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized lesson plans for students with varying disabilities, including mild to moderate learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery
    • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
    • Deliver clear and effective lessons to students individually
  • Curriculum Implementation
    • Teach MOE primary/secondary school curriculum subjects such as Chinese, Maths, and Science
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting
    • Monitor the academic progress of students and write progress reports
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with parents to discuss issues related to student learning progress
    • Update case notes post-sessions regularly and independently
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in special education, childhood psychology, or teaching
    • Relevant working experience in mainstream schools will be advantageous
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Experience working with children with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities
    • Ability to extend patience, love, passion, and kindness to students
    • Patience in guiding children with challenging behavior and the ability to apply ST strategies from the TEACCH approach
    • Strong command of English, both written and spoken
    • Ability to teach on Saturdays
    • Current MOE teachers with relevant experience may apply for flexible working hours
