Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Quantum Error Correction Expert to join our team in designing and implementing syndrome decoding capabilities for various quantum error correction schemes in our flagship platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on integrating decoding algorithms into the library's simulation pipeline and collaborating with the hardware team to test, benchmark, and optimize performance on real or emulated quantum hardware.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in quantum error correction and syndrome decoding methods, experience with surface codes, color codes, and/or quantum LDPC codes, and proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or networkx.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of quantum error correction and syndrome decoding methods.
- Experience with surface codes, color codes, and/or quantum LDPC codes.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or networkx.
- Familiarity with quantum computing frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Stim, PyMatching).
- Demonstrated experience working with Git and large, collaborative codebases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Research experience in syndrome decoding algorithms or related areas.
- Contributions to open-source quantum computing projects.
- Experience with performance optimization for real-time or near-real-time decoding.
