Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing, baking and managing all baked items efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Baking Operations: Prepare, bake and manage all baked items efficiently, ensuring they are prepared correctly and on time.
  • Daily Kitchen Operations: Involve in the daily operations of the kitchen, maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment in line with food safety regulations.
  • Food Management: Assist in minimising food wastage through correct measurement and weighing of ingredients.
  • Oven Management: Control the oven temperature, ensuring it is set at the optimal level for each type of baked item.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Prepare ingredients, create fillings and mix various ingredients as required.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean up workplace and perform minor maintenance to equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
  • Baking Knowledge: Understanding of baking procedure and process, including knowledge of ingredients, mixing and cooking techniques.
  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Baking or relevant discipline.
  • Time Management: Able to meet deadlines, prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Passion for Baking: Good interest in baking, with a desire to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
