Product Developer Job Description

The Product Developer is a key professional responsible for driving the development of new products and features that meet the evolving needs of our clients. This role requires a strategic thinker who can stay abreast of industry trends and apply their knowledge to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business cases and requirements definition for new products and features
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including scoping product releases and tracking business priorities
  • Create a product vision aligned to business priorities and develop a corresponding roadmap to delivery
  • Follow market, industry, and client trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and adaptation
  • Develop plans, prioritize, and coordinate the design and delivery of products or features to product release
  • Work closely with Technology, Business Managers, and other stakeholders to fulfill delivery objectives
  • Manage and implement a wide variety of products and solutions, including data analytics, reporting, CRM, Trade Workflows, and trade processing
  • Identify solutions that drive direct business results and provide advice regarding product development that necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy
  • Partner with senior team members and leaders to define and implement solutions
  • Create clear and specific project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution
  • Interact with business managers, technology, and sales to understand their long-term vision and incorporate industry trends into the product and solutions strategy
  • Foster a culture of controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing, and documentation
Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in product development or a related field
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Proactive approach to seeking and developing new opportunities
  • Attention to detail and process/analytic mindset
  • Ability to build networks and relationships internally and externally
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies and experience in end-to-end project delivery
  • Knowledge of various analytical tools, including Qlikview, Tableau, and Access
  • Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets
  • Ability to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and drive to results
  • Process Management knowledge with a propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content
  • Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with team members
  • Project Management skills with experience leading large cross-functional initiatives
