Job Overview:

Clinical Risk Manager - Asia Medical and Professional Indemnity

This role is responsible for managing medical malpractice and professional indemnity claims in Asia, enhancing efficiency in claims handling and improving service quality.

The successful candidate will have experience in handling/supervising PI and Med Mal claims, preferably across Asia, with strong analytical skills, relationship management abilities, and excellent communication skills.

In addition to handling claims, the Clinical Risk Manager will assist in implementing strategies to improve claims outcomes on a portfolio/volume basis, working closely with stakeholders to drive efficiencies and productivity.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, able to determine and implement solutions to improve claims results, and possess a law degree qualification or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Service: Handle medical malpractice and professional indemnity claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Claims Quality: Ensure high-quality claim service is rendered to all stakeholders in accordance with Chubb claims philosophy.
  • Claims Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on claims performance and trends.
  • Large Loss Management: Effectively manage and supervise large losses underwritten and reported in APAC against policy terms and conditions.
  • Expense Management: Manage expenses related to claims handling and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in handling/supervising PI and Med Mal claims, preferably across Asia.
  • Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to determine and implement strategies to improve claims outcomes on a portfolio/volume basis.
  • Demonstrated interest in current/emerging technological developments and trends.
  • Strong analytical skills, relationship management abilities, and excellent communication skills.
