Cybersecurity Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IAM, DAM, and Vulnerability Assessment tools.

  • Maintain and manage security tools such as IAM, DAM, and Key Management to ensure optimal security operations.
  • Respond to and triage security alerts promptly according to SLA.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning and assessments using tools like Tenable Nessus, documenting findings and recommending mitigations.
  • Report and track vulnerabilities, ensuring timely patching and compliance with resolution timelines.
  • Assess the impact of newly published vulnerabilities on existing systems and track closure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and maintaining security tools to ensure optimal security operations.
  • Triage and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
  • Conducting vulnerability scanning and assessments using Tenable Nessus.
  • Reporting and tracking vulnerabilities to ensure timely patching and compliance.
  • Assessing the impact of newly published vulnerabilities on existing systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with IAM, DAM, and Vulnerability Assessment tools.
  • Security certifications and AWS Cloud knowledge are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of security control principles, including segregation of duties (SOD).
  • Passion for identifying security gaps and proactive problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to perform vulnerability scanning outside normal office hours.
