Behavioural Therapist/ABA Specialist Role

As a Behavioural Therapist/ABA Specialist, you will deliver one-to-one behavioural therapy and ABA interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other behaviour challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and develop tailored treatment plans for students using ABA strategies aligned to each child's specific needs.
  • Monitor, assess and document student progress, adjusting strategies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Foster collaboration with parents and caregivers to implement home-based support, providing regular updates on the child's progress.
  • Partner with other professionals, including therapists and educators, to ensure a comprehensive approach to the child's development.
  • Create an engaging, supportive and structured learning environment to facilitate the child's behavioural and academic growth.
Requirements:
  • AHPC registration is essential for therapists in related fields.
  • A degree or certification in ABA Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in delivering ABA therapy or behaviour interventions for children with special needs is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of ASD and other developmental or behaviour disorders is crucial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are vital to work effectively with parents, caregivers and other professionals.
  • The ability to develop and apply creative, individualised behaviour modification techniques is essential.
  • A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their development is mandatory.
