This role oversees the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all construction-related plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety compliance, and efficiency across project sites.

  • Supervise daily operations and maintenance of heavy machinery, tools, and vehicles, implementing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and asset integrity protocols by performing regular inspections and monitoring usage records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment, spare parts, and usage while coordinating logistics for equipment mobilization and demobilization across project sites.
  • Plan storage and transportation in alignment with project timelines, optimizing resource allocation and managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor equipment-related expenditures and negotiate budgets with stakeholders to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead a team of technicians and mechanics, providing training and task assignments while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting regularly to senior management.

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in plant and machinery management, preferably in construction or precast segments, is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery operations, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
