Job Title: Coastal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Coastal Engineer to join our team at DHI WATER & ENVIRONMENT (S) PTE. LTD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out numerical modelling using the MIKE by DHI suite of software to support EIA studies and coastal engineering/modelling studies.
  • Provide specialist technical input to EIA studies and/or coastal engineering/modelling studies, ensuring high-quality results and effective project delivery.
  • Assist the Project Manager in technical and financial aspects of ongoing major marine and terrestrial EIA projects and coastal engineering/modelling studies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical and financial proposals to secure new projects, leveraging your expertise in coastal engineering and numerical modelling.
  • Perform quality assurance within your field of expertise, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
  • Maintain project schedules and report project status to stakeholders, providing timely and accurate updates.
  • Support regular client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant environmental discipline and/or civil/coastal engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in marine and terrestrial EIA studies, coastal engineering, and/or numerical modelling studies, particularly in tropical areas.
  • Knowledge of sediment plume physics, especially relating to dredging and reclamation.
  • Experience with the MIKE by DHI suite of numerical models is highly desirable.
  • Project management training or proposal writing training is an asset.
