Job Summary

The Chief Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance team at Commonwealth Culinary Creations PTE. LTD., ensuring that all products and services meet organizational standards and customer expectations.

This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance processes, leading a team of QA professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure adherence to food safety and quality systems, including FSSC, ISO 22000, and GMP.
2. Execute and monitor procedures related to daily production, food safety, and workplace safety.
3. Develop, maintain, and update product and process SOPs for produced and packed products.
4. Monitor process flows and ensure compliance to established parameters.
5. Evaluate the services of sub-contracted service providers, such as pest control and cleaning contractors.
6. Plan and monitor shelf life studies for current and new products.
7. Liaise directly with customers on customer complaints or food safety issues, feedback, and corrective actions.
8. Conduct training for relevant staff on FSSC, ISO 22000, GMP, and local food authorities' requirements (AVA/MUIS).
9. Conduct Workplace safety training.
10. Ensure product consistency.
11. Collaborate with R&D and production to ensure smooth execution of new products developed for large-scale production.
12. Handle food safety audits by customers, SFA, and other certification bodies.
13. Conduct risk assessment profiling for products, ingredients, and product contact materials.
14. Manage and maintain the QA department's digital platform.
15. Create, maintain, and update QC processes for produced and packed products.
16. Manage the QA and QC team.

Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Nutrition and Dietetics;
Completed ISO, HACCP, and/or Risk Management course;
Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in food manufacturing environment;
Experience in ISO, HACCP, Risk Management, and GMP is an advantage;
Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable;
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
Good communications, interpersonal, and team interaction skills;
Good diplomacy (liaising with external parties such as AVA customers, vendors, and government bodies);
