Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

 

The role of a senior project engineer is crucial in leading the planning, execution, and cost estimation of projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Cost Estimation & Budget Control:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, etc.
  • Analyse project feasibility and return on investment.
  • Monitor expenditures and optimize costs without compromising quality.

Technical Coordination:

  • Review engineering designs, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Interface with global teams, clients, and vendors in English (written & spoken).
  • Prepare and present project reports, cost analyses, and progress updates.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement best practices in project and cost management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process optimization.

 

Requirements:

We require a minimum diploma in engineering (mechanical/electrical/industrial or related field) and at least 5 years of experience in project management and costing within a relevant industry.

In addition, proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Solidwork, and AutoCAD is essential. Strong expertise in cost estimation software and Excel is also required.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision, excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) for global collaboration, analytical mindset with problem-solving skills are a must.

This position is office-based in Singapore with site visits to Batam plants and hybrid working arrangement. Willingness to travel if required.
