National Cancer Centre of Singapore PTE LTD seeks a highly skilled Genomics Data Analyst to join our team in Singapore.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with expertise in genomics and bioinformatics to work as part of an established research group. The successful candidate will be involved in large-scale international translational and clinical studies on hepatocellular carcinoma, utilizing various patient biosamples and multi-omics approaches.
The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator in conceptualizing and conducting research projects, working collaboratively with scientific and clinical staff on data analysis and interpretation using analytics tools and setting up analysis pipelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Multidisciplinary analyses to establish pipelines and run analyses independently
- Work within secure cloud environments for cross-institutional collaboration
- Conceptualize research projects with PI and lead discussions across stakeholders
- Lead grant applications and manuscript drafting
Requirements
PhD degree in Computational Biology or quantitative background (e.g. Statistics, Physics, Engineering), or Biomedical-related disciplines with strong evidence of genomics computational experience. Candidates with MSc in related discipline but with significant research experience may also apply.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience with large-scale bioinformatics analysis (NGS, single cell sequencing, cfDNA analysis, survival analysis, disease modelling) and spatial transcriptomics analyses using Fiji, Imaris, QuPath, Seurat, Scanpy, Squidpy, LisaCLust, stLearn, SCDNEY, GPTcelltype, SingleR, scPred, InSituType. Proficient in R (tidyverse, ggplot, bioconductor) or Python (pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and good knowledge of Unix shell. Knowledge of high performance computing (HPC) and cloud computing (AWS) is advantageous.
Benefits
This is a full-time position with a salary range of SGD 85,000 - 120,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development in a multidisciplinary research environment.
