Research Coordinator Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Research Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting human biomedical research studies. As a Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for subject recruitment and data management, collaborating closely with the research team and Principal Investigator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subject Recruitment and Follow-up
    • Recruit subjects, schedule appointments, and enter data. Screen patients based on study eligibility and communicate study aims clearly.
    • Obtain consent, administer questionnaires, and follow up with study participants.
    • Work with the research team, clinicians, clinic staff, and other departments to ensure research needs are met.
    • Achieve research deliverables on tight timelines by setting targets and working efficiently.
  • Research Documentation and Administrative Duties
    • Conduct patient recruitment, data collection, and data management activities.
    • Assist in collecting data from electronic health records.
    • Set up and maintain investigator files, including consent records and blood collection details.
    • Maintain accurate records in Redcap and electronic health record systems.
    • Ensure adherence to research protocols, such as HBRA.
    • Liaise with investigators, clinicians, and laboratory teams to set up clinical workflows for research recruitment.
    • Prepare documentation for audit purposes.
    • Coordinate IRB application submissions, study amendments, and annual reports.
    • Up hold high standards of professional conduct and record keeping, adhering to hospital policies, ethics requirements, and local regulations.
    • Assist with similar duties delegated by the PI.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Public Health, or Social Science with 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
    • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, meeting research targets and deliverables.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with leadership and accountability desirable.
    • Independent and mature, able to work independently and in a team.
    • Meticulous, well-organized, and able to multitask.
    • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with diverse stakeholders.
    • Bilingual preferred (fluent in Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil).
    • Willingsness to travel between hospitals and external study sites.
    • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, and Saturday, 8:00AM to 12:30PM.
    • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA)
