Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team at Converge, a subsidiary of Arrow Electronics. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the forefront of cloud computing and computer component distribution.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating the movement of all inbound, outbound, and foreign to foreign freight movements. With a strong understanding of freight variables and experience with online tools, you will provide support to internal and external customers in determining cost-effective and compliant freight movements.

Responsibilities
  • Directs and coordinates freight movements to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Quotes freight charges utilizing preferred freight vendors and ensures accuracy of quotes and negotiated tariffs.
  • Works with freight vendors to arrange freight movement and rearrange in transit to satisfy customer needs.
  • Cordinates the movement of drop shipments and processes receiving and shipping information through the ERP system.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in dealing with freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Good knowledge of shipping incoterm and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Possess right attitude, willing to learn, and punctual.
  • Flexible to support overtime when required.
