Job Title: Regulatory Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Operations Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

The Regulatory Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of regulatory reporting submissions. This individual contributor's role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve exceptions, improve processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position is part of the Global Wealth Operations & Technology organization and works closely with various stakeholders, including Business Senior Management, Investments Business Management, Discretionary Business Management, Business Risk & Control, Legal, and Compliance.

The overall objective is to strengthen Operational Regulatory Reporting processes, governance, and issue detection while increasing awareness and knowledge of regulatory reporting.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory reports for different jurisdictions and products;
  • Resolving issues related to regulatory reporting;
  • Communicating operational changes arising from remediation or process/control enhancements to Operations & Technology;
  • Developing business requirements for system-related enhancements and end-to-end management of new or amended regulations;
  • Reconciling positions and ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting;
  • Streamlining process inconsistencies, mitigating risks, and process documentation; sharing knowledge among teams to manage regulatory reporting operations functions;
  • Anticipating details of future regulations by communicating directly with key stakeholders and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news;
  • Driving projects and process improvements;
  • Supporting all control functions, including MCA audits, procedures updates, and implementation;
  • Calculating and monitoring key KPIs and metrics;
  • Timely escalation of issues and monitoring until resolution;
  • Closely cooperating with Business and Tech partners on gap identification and process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for candidates with:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations, preferably in regulatory reporting space;
  • Proven experience working with business stakeholders;
  • Good understanding of regulations and operational processes;
  • Good understanding of Investments and Capital Market products as well as trade execution and settlement processes;
  • Analytical thinking skills;
  • Effective workload management;
  • Effective communication skills adjusted to recipient needs;
  • Critical thinking and drawing logical conclusions;
  • Adequate proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership;
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Education

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance and banking.
