About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Trade Services Specialist to join our Asia Trade Hub team in Singapore. As a Trade Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the processing of new collections, payments, trade acceptances, and tracing outstanding items. You will also advise and issue letter of credit amendments, negotiate letter of credit documents, and collaborate with peers and colleagues to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for processing new collections, payments, trade acceptances, and tracing outstanding items
  • Advise and issue letter of credit amendments along with negotiating letter of credit documents
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Develop knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Perform compliance and other checks on trade transactions in line with internal procedures
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and needs are consistently met
  • Accountable for upholding company vision and values statement
  • Identify and raise risk, control, and other issues in a responsible and timely manner
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • College degree or above with a minimum of 1 year experience in bills checking/LC processing preferred, fresh graduates are welcomed to apply
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT and UCP
  • Hands-on experience in MS Words & Excel
  • Exposure in computerized banking facilities
  • Able to work on APAC country public holidays if fall on Mondays to Fridays (also some ad-hoc weekend work may be required to support UAT, month-end reporting, adjusted China working week, etc.)
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good team player and willing to learn
