About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Data Director to join our team at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of our data analytics strategy.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of data governance, data architecture, and AI frameworks that support our business goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive data and AI strategy that supports our company's goals and objectives.
  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of data governance, data architecture, and AI frameworks.

In addition to leading our data and AI strategy, you will also oversee the development and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure, ensuring that data pipelines, warehouses, and platforms meet the needs of the business.

You will ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration with IT and engineering teams is also essential to ensure the proper integration of data systems with other business systems.

Furthermore, you will drive the development and deployment of AI and machine learning models to solve key business problems and improve decision-making. Staying up-to-date with the latest AI and data science trends is also crucial, and incorporating new technologies where applicable is expected.

Key performance indicators (KPIs) for this role include:

  • Successful implementation of the data and AI strategy.
  • Development and deployment of AI and machine learning models.
  • Data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, AI, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing data and AI strategies at scale.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $180,000 - SGD $250,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
