About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oil Trading Lawyer to join our team at Future-E HR Pte. Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer to leverage their expertise in oil trading and commercial law to drive business growth.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial and contract law, with a strong focus on international trade law and regulatory frameworks relevant to the oil trading industry.

  • Provide expert legal guidance and support on oil trading activities, including contracts, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents with suppliers, customers, and other third parties.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues impacting the oil trading industry and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations and ensure seamless compliance.
  • Manage and oversee legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration proceedings as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) and admission to the Singapore Bar or another jurisdiction recognized in Singapore.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role within the oil trading, commodities trading, or energy sector.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is essential to handle both English and Chinese legal documents.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contract law, international trade law, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the oil trading industry.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently and effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary range of SGD $120,000 - SGD $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
