Job Summary

This role involves overseeing day-to-day afloat repairs, lifesaving & fire-fighting inspections, and offshore projects.

  • Ensure timely completion of projects by managing technical, operational, and commercial aspects.
  • Prepare project quotations and costing.
  • Raise requisitions for materials, tools, and equipment; coordinate with procurement teams.
  • Issue purchase orders to subcontractors and monitor repair teams/subcontractors for job execution.
  • Liaise with shipowners, managers, shipyards, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage warehouse tools & equipment (including calibration).
  • Coordinate logistics for engineers, team, tools & equipment to/from job sites.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation and certificates to clients; update enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Provide remote technical support to customers.
  • Support development of repair techniques, training, and team building.
Key Requirements
  • Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of marine machinery and equipment is required.
  • At least 3 years' related experience (shipyard or onboard ship preferred; afloat repair coordination advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure and outside office hours.
  • Bilingual in English & Mandarin (to liaise with China HQ counterparts).
