Lead Project Finance Professional

A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced project finance expert to spearhead its infrastructure and energy financing efforts across Southeast Asia.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of origination and execution of project financing deals in sectors such as renewables and digital infrastructure.
  • They will be responsible for overseeing the full deal lifecycle, from initial structuring to credit approvals and closing.
  • The successful candidate will also cultivate and expand relationships with institutional investors, infrastructure sponsors, and regional corporates across the APAC region.
  • They will collaborate with syndication and coverage teams to secure buy-in and ensure successful distribution strategies.
  • Alignment with the firm's commercial objectives, risk appetite, and sustainability goals is crucial.
  • The lead will guide and mentor a small team of junior and mid-level professionals, fostering strong execution capability and sector knowledge.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with M&A, leveraged finance, structured finance, and capital markets teams is essential.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in project finance or structured finance within a major financial institution or advisory platform.
  • Demonstrated success leading infrastructure or energy-related transactions in Southeast Asia.
  • Familiarity with senior/junior debt structuring, underwriting, and syndication.
  • Strategic mindset with strong client-facing skills and commercial acumen.
  • Prior leadership or mentorship experience is preferred.
  • A high degree of initiative, ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously.
