Chief Information Security Officer Job

This role leads the development and implementation of our organization's information security strategy, policies, and governance frameworks.

Risk Management & Compliance

The chosen individual will oversee risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, processes, and solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure timely mitigation and remediation actions for identified security threats.
Incident Response & Threat Management

This position involves leading incident detection, response, and recovery activities in coordination with the SOC and IT teams.

  • Develop effective incident response plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Monitor the threat landscape and implement proactive measures against potential attacks.
Security Operations Oversight

The selected candidate will support the management of security operations centres (SOCs) and ensure effective use of SIEM, EDR, and other monitoring tools.

  • Oversight access control, data protection, and identity management programs to maintain organizational security.
  • Liaise with external vendors for source code scanning, penetration, vulnerability, and security testing.
Awareness & Training

This position requires driving organization-wide security awareness programs and phishing simulations to promote a culture of security across business units.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to security and IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, OSCP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience managing ISO frameworks and enterprise security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security, and application security.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response, threat intelligence, and security governance.
