Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to promote a strong culture of risk awareness and effective internal controls across organisational functions and programmes.


Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a strong culture of risk awareness and effective internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with internal control procedures to ensure operational integrity and accountability.
  • Review and enhance internal policies and processes to improve the organisation's control environment, aligned with applicable regulations and audit requirements.
  • Maintain and update risk registers as part of ongoing risk assessments, and track the implementation of mitigation plans with senior management.
  • Identify, assess, and report significant risks and issues in accordance with the organisation's risk management framework.
  • Support the review and negotiation of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with internal standards and templates.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of corporate governance policies, procedures, and compliance programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and governance codes applicable to the non-profit or regulated sector.
  • Manage timely and accurate submissions of statutory filings and regulatory reports.
  • Monitor regulatory and policy changes impacting the organisation's compliance obligations and advise leadership on key updates and actions.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in accountancy, law, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a compliance or paralegal role.
