About the Role

You will identify newsworthy and engaging stories, guide journalists to produce compelling video content, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visual storytelling.

As a multimedia content creator, you will craft creative visual content for various platforms, experiment with concepts and formats, and conceptualise, script, and produce videos with an eye for accuracy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting creative visual content for target audiences and experimenting with new concepts and formats
  • Guiding and growing a team of producers, videographers, and editors to hone sharp angles and creative visual storytelling
  • Collaborating with journalists and cross-functional teams to develop visual stories
  • Managing and publishing videos on various platforms
  • Staying on top of the latest news, audience, and content trends
  • Engaging with video analytics to shape editorial content

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in Video Production, Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and lead others
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Experience in social media platforms and video publishing systems, such as YouTube and Instagram
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience in producing live and studio programmes is an advantage
  • The ability to present and do voice-overs is an advantage
  • Knowledge of production setup, lighting, and filming to direct team members
