Backend Engineer Role

The key objective of this position is to design, develop, and deploy scalable architectures for high-performance online services in TikTok's recommendation system.

  • This includes building efficient data pipelines, designing computing frameworks, and optimizing storage systems.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in building scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Golang.
  • Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Experience in at least one area of personalized recommendations, search engines, machine learning, distributed storage systems, or big data frameworks.
