Job Title: School of Hospitality

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Event Management Lecturer to join our team at the School of Hospitality. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of event professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum in event management, including large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and festivals.
  • Initiate and facilitate industry projects, focusing on events and project management, with an emphasis on large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and festivals.
  • Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies, incorporating real-world examples from organising large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and festivals.
  • Design, develop, and deliver customised workshops for adult learners, drawing on experience in organising large-scale entertainment events.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned and contribute to poly-wide/school-wide events and/or activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in Events Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of proven industry experience overseeing the management of large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and festivals.
  • An extensive and strong network of contacts within the realm of large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and festivals.
  • Self-starter mindset, agile learner, and passion for coaching and mentoring youths and adults.
  • Experience in developing a curriculum or providing training in a client-facing environment will be an advantage.
  • Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent qualifications is advantageous.
