About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker or Senior Counsellor to join our team at Trans Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing integrated continuum of services for clients experiencing Family Violence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide casework management and counselling services for clients with medium to high risk Family Violence concerns
• Conduct intake and risk assessments of cases
• Develop and implement programs to meet clients' needs
• Facilitate group work, including support and psychoeducation groups
• Engage in community outreach and community development initiatives to combat Family Violence
• Build partnerships and enhance stakeholder capability in addressing Family Violence
• Conduct research to build domain-specific knowledge in the local context
• Provide supervision to a team of staff

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work or Counselling
• 6 years of relevant working experience, with prior experience in Family Violence Work preferred
• Experience in supervision
• Strong command of English language and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Core Competencies

• Ability to engage with people, assess needs, and develop intervention plans
• Capacity to work with and link with various community partners
• Ability to plan and evaluate programs
• Experience in managing and supervising staff
