Heritage Conservation Specialist

Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and documenting the heritage value of buildings and sites. This involves conducting site visits, archival research, and desk-based assessments to determine the significance of these properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting heritage assessments, including producing reports on building condition, significance, and environmental impact.
- Undertaking archival research and preparing detailed assessments of historical properties.
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality schemes that enhance historic environments.
- Working collaboratively with designers, engineers, and environmental specialists to achieve project goals.
- Managing heritage surveys and ensuring accurate data collection.
- Contributing to a supportive team environment that fosters professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Built Heritage or Architecture (or equivalent). Other Built Environment Degrees (in Building, Conservation, etc.) will also be considered.
- Minimum two years' working experience in the Built Environment or Built Heritage Environment. Experience and knowledge of the heritage-built environment and regulation of Singapore are essential.
- A good understanding of Southeast Asia history is desirable, as is a Class 3 driving license.
