Job Title: Payroll Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing staff payroll, including overtime payments, claims, incentives, allowances and other approved transactions. This includes monthly and ad-hoc payroll runs.

  • Cross-checks salary computations to ensure accuracy of salary payout.
  • Posts payroll transactions into the SAP system.
  • Prepares salary reconciliation reports.
  • Prepares payroll monthly reports to various department heads.
  • Submits CPF, IR8A, IR21 and other tax-related matters for staff.
  • Works with the finance department for monthly and quarterly closing for payroll areas.
  • Liaises with internal and external auditors and/or tax agents on payroll-related matters.
  • Processes government-related claims such as NS Reservist, Maternity Leave, Child Care Leave claims.
  • Handles ad-hoc projects as and when requested.
  • Provides support in staff data creation or other system updates in SAP or Employee Self-Service System.
  • Provides payroll-related data for internal and external reporting.
  • Reviews and implements process improvements for payroll-related areas.
  • Responds promptly to employee inquiries and concerns regarding their payroll.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in payroll.
  • Good working knowledge of manpower regulations e.g. Employment Act, CPF Act & tax regulations.
  • Good HR knowledge and experience in payroll system and function.
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in MS Excel.
