We are a leading payment company that provides innovative payment solutions to businesses worldwide, seeking an experienced Application Support Manager (L2/L3) to lead our clients team of skilled support engineers in providing top-notch application support for payment applications.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java, excellent leadership skills, and experience in managing application support teams. The Application Support Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues, mentoring and guiding team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of application support engineers (L2/L3) in resolving complex technical issues related to our payment applications.
  • Develop and implement effective application support processes and procedures to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps, to ensure smooth and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Mentor and guide team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct technical interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
  • Develop and manage the team's budget and resource allocation plan.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues that could impact application stability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and execute comprehensive testing plans.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for critical technical issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application support, with a focus on Java.
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing application support teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Java, including Java 8 and later versions.
  • Experience with application support tools, including ticketing systems and monitoring tools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions

Estimated Salary:$100,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
