Job Title:

Senior Diesel Workshop Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Diesel Workshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the diesel workshop. This includes managing repair and maintenance processes, ensuring that engine overhaul processes are carried out effectively and productively, and monitoring and guiding engineers and technicians to ensure they adhere to strict protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the overall workflow of the diesel workshop, ensuring efficient and productive operations
  2. Oversee the repair and maintenance of commercial and naval vessels' engines
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
  4. Monitor and guide engineers and technicians to ensure they meet customer specifications and requirements
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in a yard or OEM for diesel engines
  • Able to perform troubleshooting on pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, and basic electrical systems with minimum guidance
  • Knowledge of engine overhauling and applied mechanics
  • Familiarity with engine warranty, claims, and job acceptance processes
  • Ability to supervise a team in both workshop and onboard vessels
