Job Title: Resident Technical Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Technical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that all architectural works are carried out in accordance with approved specifications and drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • To review and verify all drawings, specifications, and schedules of work as per the contract document and report any discrepancies to consultants and contractors to avoid progress delays.
  • Full-time site supervision and inspections to ensure that all structural works are carried out as per approved specification and also as per drawings with approved materials in an appropriate sequence and methods.
  • Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing materials delivered to site and quality of workmanship.
  • Supervise and coordinate architectural works of the project and exercise reasonable skill, care, and diligence in discharge of the contract.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising and inspecting all structural works.
  • Assist the Construction Project Manager in site progress and update proper site records about the progress of work and documentation.
  • Attend site meetings and site walks with clients and consultants.
  • Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, method statements, other technical submissions, material samples, and trade demonstrations by the contractors.
  • Assist and coordinate with consultants to resolve any technical and interfacing issues.
  • Familiar with consultant Quality Management System and make proper documentation for QMS audit to comply HDB audit.
  • Liaise with contractor on work schedule, progress, work quality, and quality control etc.
  • Witness and verify any field test carried out on site.
  • Monitor Site Instrumentation report (Settlement marker, Vibration report, Noise meter).
  • Update Monthly progress report and daily site activities report.
  • Enforce quality control, safety management, vector control, and tidiness of the work site.
  • Update monthly Consultant Safety and Vector report.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction management and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and HDB audit requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software.
