About the RoleThis is a critical leadership position that will drive our environmental health and safety (EHS) strategy across Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China. As EHS Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will also lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and contribute to our company's mission to expand access to genomic technology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and improve EHS performance.
- Collaborate with global EHS teams to develop and implement EHS standards and guidelines.
- Monitor and assess EHS risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
- Develop and manage EHS budgets and resources to ensure effective program delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a globally operating biotech or life sciences company.
- Strong technical knowledge of EHS principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with EHS software systems and process improvement initiatives.
Illumina offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
