Investment Services Private Markets DepartmentThe Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) is responsible for providing investment services for the private market across the GIC group. This includes deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, finance, operations, tax, data management, and analytics services for private equity, private credits, real estate, and infrastructure investments.
Strategy OfficeThe Strategy team assists the Director of ISPVM in steering, advancing, and overseeing the execution of ISPVM's strategic plans. This involves recognizing growth opportunities, evaluating and mitigating risks, and driving market leadership. The team focuses on strategic partnerships, management office, and sustainability solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partnership Framework and Engagement: Participate in designing the new framework, developing new capabilities, supporting implementation, and day-to-day activities. Assist with the coordination of key partners' engagement.
- Market Landscaping: Support in conducting research to identify and monitor private market leading trends and best practices, front-to-back operating models, technology, data, and sustainability.
- Vendor Opportunities: Assist in identifying and evaluating ongoing potential vendors and strategic partners. Support engagement managers with contract negotiations and vendor onboarding, including ongoing monitoring on overall vendor performance and compliance with internal frameworks and policies.
- Strategic Initiatives: Support the implementation of complex initiatives within or across the department. Involved in the development and implementation of department business plans, policies, procedures, and risk governance frameworks.
- Business Management: Spearhead the department's internal communication and engagement plan. Responsible for regular and ad-hoc senior management reporting and presentations. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business and operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant business management or consulting work experience in the financial services industry. Experience in the Private Markets industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Pro-active, committed, dependable, positive, and driven individual with strong attention to details.
- Strong learning agility and system thinking mindset with the ability to connect the dots.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; coupled with effective project management and organizational capabilities to suggest and implement constructive, pragmatic solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization globally, while demonstrating maturity and openness to feedback.
- Good team player who provides strong support to team members to accomplish overall team goals.
- Effective project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
