Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

Overview:

  • This is a senior-level position responsible for managing risk in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management: Manage interest risk, liquidity risk and market risk in accordance with head office and regulatory requirements.
  2. Reporting: Complete tasks and reports for internal stakeholders and head office on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis.
  3. Data Quality: Identify and address data quality issues affecting treasury and management teams.
  4. Policies: Maintain and review policies to ensure alignment with local and head office requirements.
  5. Risk Monitoring: Monitor relevant risk indicators within defined limits.
  6. Support: Provide analytical support to stakeholders.
  7. Risk Assessment: Assess risk drivers and their impact on liquidity positions.
  8. System Integration: Support the integration of new systems to ensure smooth transition and accurate reporting.
  9. Queries: Address queries related to market risk, liquidity risk and interest risk.
  10. Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake ad-hoc projects and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  1. A recognized degree.
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in banking.
  3. Good understanding of market/liquidity/interest risk regulatory requirements.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Skilled at handling data and proficient in using various tools.
  7. Familiarity with Bloomberg system.
