Lab Animal Facility Operations Specialist

We are currently recruiting a Lab Animal Facility Operations Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the lab animal facility, including managing environmental parameters and addressing equipment malfunctions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum degree in Engineering and at least 6 years of experience as an Animal Research Facility Engineer. They should be knowledgeable about lab animal facility building management systems, automated water systems, and differential pressure regimes.

  • Ensure that environmental parameters are within the set range for the animal facility and address any breakdown/malfunction of the equipment responsible for maintaining environmental parameters.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance of the facility and its equipment to ensure minimum disruption for the animals.
  • Address the needs of the researchers, which may vary from time to time.
  • Help with budgetary requirements for maintenance and running/operations of the facility infrastructure and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum degree in Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of working experience as an Animal Research Facility Engineer.
  • Knowledgeable about lab animal facility building management systems, automated water systems, and differential pressure regimes.
  • Experience with working under AAALAC accreditation is advantageous.
