Electronics Specialist Role Overview

This Electronics Specialist position involves providing technical support and assistance for electronics-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in navigation & radar equipment troubleshooting and servicing, as well as excellent teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive troubleshooting, installation, removal, modification, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment either onshore or onboard vessels.
  • Source and procure necessary spares and consumables.
  • Respond to procurement requests.
  • Provide detailed service reports.
  • Closure of jobs with meticulous documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
  • ITE or diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in navigation & radar equipment troubleshooting and servicing.
  • A strong team player with hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Able to perform fieldwork onboard vessels and shipyards.
  • Able to conduct testing, repair, and inspection of ECDIS System, Radar system, Speed log equipment, Echo sounder equipment, and Transmitting magnetic compass system.
