Job Title: Coating Inspector

This is a great opportunity to work with our team as a coating inspector. You will be responsible for ensuring that all coatings meet the required standards and are applied correctly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review project specifications, coating system requirements, and applicable standards (e.g., ISO, SSPC, NACE/AMPP).
• Attend pre-job meetings with clients, contractors, and applicators.
• Ensure all required inspection tools are calibrated and functional (e.g., DFT gauge, surface profile gauge, hygrometer).
• Verify that surface preparation meets specified standards (e.g., SSPC-SP 10, Sa)
• Check surface cleanliness, roughness (anchor profile), and absence of contaminants (e.g., chlorides, oil, dust).
• Conduct visual inspections and surface profile testing (e.g., Testex tape, replica tape, profile gauge).
• Measure and record: Ambient temperature, Substrate temperature, Relative humidity (RH), Dew point
• Confirm that environmental conditions are within the specified limits before and during coating application.
• Conduct DFT measurements using calibrated instruments.
• Perform holiday (spark) testing for coating continuity, especially on linings or tank coatings.
• Complete detailed inspection reports (daily inspection logs, test results, non-conformance reports).
• Submit inspection reports to QA/QC leads or client representatives.
• Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure proper repair and re-inspection and Liaise with project engineers, applicators, and client representatives.
• Participate in inspection walk-downs and handover activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Significant experience in both onshore and offshore construction projects
• Prior experience in E house FPSO projects are preferable
• Minimum Engineering degree preferred and NACE II
