Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Refresh: Plan and execute the migration of our old Solaris/AIX machines to new virtual machines, ensuring seamless transition with minimal downtime.
  • OS Patching and Upgrades: Perform regular OS patching and version upgrades on AIX and Solaris systems to ensure they are up-to-date and secure.
  • Automation: Automate system administration tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize server performance to ensure optimal system utilization and responsiveness.
  • IPKVM Support: Provide support for IPKVM servers and consoles, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 6 years of experience in Oracle Solaris, Solaris Cluster, Solaris Virtualization, IBM VIOS, IBM AIX server, IBM GPFS Cluster, HP-UX, and Unix scripting.
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Chef, Bigfix Enterprise, Redhat Linux, and Windows server would be an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent internal communication, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
