Research Fellow Position in Statistics

The Biomedical Data Science division in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS invites applications for a Research Fellow position in Statistics. The division focuses on methodological and computational contributions in Statistics, particularly within the Bayesian framework.

The group works closely with clinical and biomedical researchers across NUS and A*STAR. Applications arise from cohort studies such as GUSTO and S-PRESTO, and the NUS Human Potential Translational Research Programme.

Appointment will be on a 2 or 3 year contract, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements:
  • Hold a PhD in Statistics or a closely related field
  • Possess good knowledge of Bayesian inference and Bayesian computational tools such as MCMC and SMC
  • Programming skills in R and one of C/C++ or equivalent
  • Experience working in a research environment

  • Exceptional candidates without a PhD can be considered for research assistantships and PhD studentships
