Opthalmology Consultant Position

Singapore National Eye Centre is a leading healthcare provider offering specialized ophthalmological services with an emphasis on quality education and research.

We manage over 330,000 patient visits and perform more than 35,000 surgeries and laser procedures annually. Our centre offers a full spectrum of subspecialties addressing every part of the eye, including Cataract, Corneal & External Eye Disease, Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Neuro-ophthalmology, Ocular Inflammation & Immunology, Oculoplastic, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, Refractive Surgery, Surgical and Medical Retina.

As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will work at one or more of our regional satellite sites, including the Changi General Hospital (CGH), Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) and/or new satellite location(s). This provides opportunities to develop your skills in various clinical settings and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.

You will be required to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership abilities. You should be passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences and committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in ophthalmology and relevant work experience in a similar role. You must also possess good problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and adaptability to change.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Clinical Expertise: You should have a strong foundation in ophthalmology and be knowledgeable in various subspecialties, including cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and retinal disorders.

Leadership Abilities: As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for mentoring junior staff members and contributing to the development of our team's policies and procedures.
