Financial Services Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Listed Derivatives team. As a Financial Services Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing clients' post-trade execution needs, including complex transaction requests and queries, as well as settlement of client transactions to a high-quality standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage clients' post-trade execution needs, including managing complex transaction requests and queries.
  • Assist in providing operational risk management and oversight for the Futures sales and trading businesses, while ensuring the integrity of the firm's books and records through the development of workflows, systems and controls.
  • Help ensure that the firm has the appropriate infrastructure with respect to technology, processes and controls to support complex financial transactions such that clients' needs as well as internal control standards and external regulatory requirements are met.
  • Drive discussions surrounding change management processes with technology and other operational or securities division teams to assess downstream implications and ensure more streamlined flows.
  • Identify, document and implement procedural changes within the department to improve processes and control infrastructure around firm reference data.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional client service and relationship building skills.
  • Team-oriented, proactive and self-motivated individual.
  • A control focus and achievement orientation to produce results and mitigate risk.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in Listed derivatives, i.e. Futures & Options trade support, equity settlement, trade middle office, or cash processing role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Futures and options Industry and market knowledge.
  • Experience of vendor platforms (GMI, Traiana etc.).
