Key Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and focused individual to contribute to our dynamic team, which aims to accelerate the development of novel, lightweight, and flexible perovskite solar cells for low-weight applications such as portable and wearable devices, Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), and Internet of Things (IoT).

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Engineer specializing in flexible perovskite solar cells, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing deposition techniques, such as solution processing, vacuum deposition, or printing methods, to achieve uniform and high-quality perovskite thin films on flexible substrates.
  • Investigating new materials, device architectures, and manufacturing methods to enhance the overall performance and reliability of flexible perovskite solar cells.
  • Exploring encapsulation strategies and barrier materials to protect flexible perovskite solar cells from degradation.
  • Designing and executing experiments to fabricate and characterize flexible perovskite solar cells.
  • Conducting accelerated aging tests and reliability studies to evaluate long-term stability and durability of the devices.
  • Scaling up procedures from lab-scale to manufacturing scale.
  • Conceptualizing and realizing new device configurations with enhanced stability and efficiency.
  • Reporting writing and results presentation.
  • Regularly maintaining research and study records, conceptualizing, executing, and interpreting scientific experiments.
  • Collaborating closely with internal colleagues in Singapore and China to work towards company targets.
Competencies and Qualification Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field, with in-depth knowledge of materials (especially perovskites), device physics, and processing.
  • A deep understanding of all types of perovskite materials and interface engineering, with experience in flexible perovskite solar cells and low-temperature process/deposition being a plus.
  • Expertise in device making and materials characterizations.
  • Good skills in time management, experiment design, and data analysis.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
