Job Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and Implementing Policies:
    • Establish, update, and enforce safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Develop strategies to achieve and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.
    • Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental management systems to minimize risks and hazards.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments and Inspections:
    • Regularly inspect the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks.
    • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate risks to recommend corrective actions.
    • Perform compliance checks against internal standards, regulatory requirements, and legislation.
    • Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance:
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections.
    • Ensure proper management of hazardous waste and materials.
  • Promoting Safety and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices.
    • Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging open communication and reporting of hazards.
    • Conduct safety drills and awareness campaigns to engage employees and prevent accidents.
  • Incident Management and Reporting:
    • Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
    • Prepare and submit incident reports to management and relevant authorities.
    • Manage emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid response.
  • Environmental Protection:
    • Monitor and manage air, water, and waste management practices to minimize environmental impact.
    • Promote sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce the organization's ecological footprint.
