**Job Title:** Digital Content Creator

Overview of Role:

As a Digital Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing engaging and informative content tailored to our Chinese-language audience in Singapore and internationally.

You will conduct research and create written and visual stories, as well as analytical pieces, in a clear, concise, and compelling style.

You will leverage your understanding of media consumption patterns in social media across the Greater China region to generate content suitable for WeChat and Xiaohongshu.

Familiarity with popular online media platforms in China is an advantage.

The role involves curating, packaging, and producing engaging content, generating original content through face-to-face interviews and investigative journalism, and actively promoting and marketing content across designated digital platforms and social media channels.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, with 3-4 years of experience in news journalism
  2. Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English, with good writing skills as this is for a Chinese publication
  3. Strong interest in daily news and current affairs, including knowledge of events in China and Mandarin-speaking regions
  4. Excellent news sense and analytical skills to assess and tailor content and writing style for diverse target audiences
  5. Experience in social media data points, CMS systems, Google Analytics, and familiarity with Chinese social platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, Toutiao, TikTok, etc.
  6. Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapt to various tasks efficiently
  7. Effective time management and organizational skills to consistently meet deadlines
  8. Flexibility to work irregular hours and handle time-sensitive assignments
  9. Ability to work independently and as a team player
