Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Cross-discipline exposure to open source, virtualization/cloud, automated processes, platform, middleware technologies, storage, database, network, desktops, servers, security, DevOps, etc., are valuable for this position. The incumbent is a driven, self-starter, who plays an active role working in a dynamic environment with the Technology teams to drive down IT incidents. The incumbent needs to have analytical skills to assess information and identify potential risks, possess problem-solving skills.

The objective of this role is to ensure that incident management processes are followed to maintain quality services by managing the delivery services of support teams regionally and to provide right level of attention to management.
  • Ability to challenge application and infrastructure design and monitoring thresholds.
  • Ability to use analytical thinking to identify application and infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure operational productivity through process automation, manage and provide strategic direction and assurance to evaluate effectiveness of IT controls for the daily operations.
  • Ensure the operation teams are equipped with the right skillset and tools, to manage critical event monitoring and incident management.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical and modern application design, event monitoring capabilities, AIOps, productivity tools and implementation best practices
  • Work with stakeholders across Group Technology to identify improvement in managing Technology incidents.
  • Establish measurements and targets to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Front audit request for information (RFI) and review/validate the responses to the RFIs.
  • Take the lead on relevant production facing initiatives supporting the organisation and provide insight and knowledge from experience on strengthening the current support processes and frameworks.
  • Perform on call duty on rotation basis.
Requirements
  • Working experience of 5 to 10 years with exposure in area of IT Incident Management, Application/Infra Support in a large organization.
  • Adaptable to dynamic/volatile environment and know when/how to take control during a crisis.
  • Experience in leading/managing a team.
  • Strong in analytical thinking, data analysis and being detailed, process and audit oriented.
  • Skillful in using MS tools especially MS Excel and Powerpoint to prepare management presentation deck.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work within the department and, across Group Technology
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels, and both internally and externally. Concise and precise.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated. Ability to work independently without much supervision. A pro-active 'can-do' attitude and ability to prioritize and self manage time and tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of application or infrastructure monitoring systems in multi-platforms environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of principles and processes of ITIL processes and discipline and adopting best practices into the current environment.
  • Experience in banking or financial services institutions preferred.
